Ian was asked directly by Benedikt Taschen to design the Art Editions tied to the release of ‘Murals of Tibet’, TASCHEN’s SUMO-sized publication.
From concept to construction, he created life-size, textured reproductions of Buddhist masterpieces using a ground-breaking blend of high-tech and historic materials: aviation-grade aluminum panels coated with lime-based plaster; LED UV cured digital inkjet and hand-applied gold leaf.
